Hello, My name is Rebekah Anger, originally from Manistique, MI and was first involved in grooming in highschool. I helped the local groomer at “Petique” as well as working as a veterinary assistant at Thompson Vet Clinic from 2005-2010. Assistant experience helps me to teach proper safety of handling and knowing vital signs in case of an emergency. I fell in love with grooming right away and wanted to pursue my career. After highschool, I attended the Paragon School of Pet Grooming where I received my licensed grooming certificate, which is rare in the grooming industry. I am a two-time war Veteran and offer military discounts to other military veterans. I opened my first pet grooming shop, Jesse’s Paw Prints, in 2007. Later, in 2012, I opened another grooming shop in Pulaski, WI, “Pulaski Street Grooming''. After a few years there, I started K9 Cosmetology Pet Stylists in Pulaski in February of 2019. In 2021 I opened an additional K9 Cosmetology in Escanaba, MI where we expanded from just grooming to Doggy Daycare, Extended Care, basic training, and small section of pet supplies. I am beyond thankful and proud of everything we have accomplished here and continue to accomplish. I have such an outstanding staff that cares so much for our clients' pets. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the tremendous amount of help and dedication these girls have put into this facility.
Hello, My name is Payton Gustafson, I started working with dogs in 2017 and haven't stopped since. I knew my heart and soul belonged in the dog world since I can remember. I started working at a doggy daycare facility and learned basic training and later began working with fearful and aggressive dogs. After a few years there, I then met one of my biggest inspirations back in 2020, Rebekah Anger. She hired me to become her groomer at a grooming and daycare facility in Escanaba, MI. The building was not ready to open until further construction was made. I started grooming school through Paragon School of Pet Grooming with Rebekah at her original K9 Cosmetology Pet Stylists shop in Pulaski, WI. In a few months of hard work and dedication, I became a certified groomer. We then opened the shop here in Escanaba, MI to start my new career. Shortly after opening, Rebekah gave me a huge opportunity to become part business owner with her. We opened in February of 2021 and have been blessed with amazing employees and clients since. I am continuing to learn every day to better our facility to be the best dog care facility around.
Hello, My name is Hailee Demers and I am a Certified Pet Groomer here at K9 Cosmetology Pet Stylists! My own dog, Cleo is who created my passion to begin working with dogs. I thought if I could do better for Cleo that I can make a difference in all dogs. I began my journey as a student groomer and started training under Rebekah Anger & Payton Gustafson while attending Paragon School of Pet Grooming. I started by taking the bath tech program and passed in January of 2022, and I immediately decided to further my education and became a certified pet groomer in June of 2022. Some of my goals as a pet groomer include; becoming a certified pet stylist- this will allow me to work on all show style dogs, taking dog training courses to help educate myself and others, and sharing my knowledge that I have learned to help pet owners keep proper habitual care of their pets. I love being able to make your pets look and feel their absolute best! Being able to meet new breeds, new pets, as well as see so many familiar pet and human faces is something is feel very fortunate to do. Outside of work I love being outdoors. I have lived in the Escanaba area all 22 years of my life and the Upper Peninsula is full of beautiful places. I love to hike (with the pups of course), camp, kayak, garden, and ski. I am extremely grateful for my three pups; Cleo, Prim, and Pheobe. As well as my cat, Nala!
